A panto in January 2026? Oh, no there isn’t!

Sorry to disappoint anyone hoping for a SBADS panto this January, but we’ve returned to staging a panto every two years.
We love a good panto, but they take up more time and resources than any other production, both on-stage and off-stage, so we have offered one every two years for several decades in order to put on other shows without over-stretching our volunteers.
2024 was an exception: there was such a demand for a panto after the first post-Covid production of ‘Tom Thumb‘ in 2023 that we couldn’t resist squeezing in the ‘missing’ panto that was cancelled in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
And then 2025 just had to start with a panto as the first show in our 100th year – ‘cos our very first production in 1925 was a pantomime.
Now, however, we’re back on our normal production pattern, so our next SBADS pantomime is scheduled for January 2027: oh, yes it is! We’ll be holding auditions in the middle of the year, so keep an eye out for details!
