Role description for the designated safeguarding officer(s)

• To ensure children and young people, their parents/guardians are advised of the South Brent Amateur Dramatic Society (SBADS) Safeguarding Procedures and their responsibilities.
• To ensure production Directors, Producers and adult cast and crew are aware of the SBADS Safeguarding Procedures and their responsibilities.
• The Safeguarding Officer(s) will be prepared to identify, receive disclosures or concerns of, acknowledge, record and manage safeguarding incidents at SBADS activities. If deemed sufficiently serious, this will include the involvement of the senior member of the organisation with Safeguarding responsibilities (SBADS Chair) and finally agencies with statutory responsibilities.
