Farewell to young ‘Tom Thumb’

South Brent’s first pantomime for four years, ‘Tom Thumb’ has ended its run after many months of hard work and five lively performances. Directed by Cathie Pannell with Mike Sermon, and featuring SBADS faces old and new, the panto delighted audiences at South Brent Village Hall in January 2023.
The directors, cast and crew would like to thank all those who helped in wardrobe and make-up, lighting and tech, in the bar, on the set, in publicity and rigging/striking the stage as well as the invaluable front of house team who made each performance possible.
And, of course we extend the biggest thank you of all to all the many hundreds who decided to join us in the audience on five fun-filled performances, including three sell-out shows. It was a pleasure to see so many of you in the village hall after so long.
It has been a relief to come back to the stage for the first time since 2019, and SBADS is delighted to have been able to stage a pantomime – always the most demanding of our productions – to kick-start our return to a more normal schedule. Watch out for our next production, which should be in the late spring.
We will add ‘Tom Thumb’ to our on-line archive as soon as we can (or at least as soon as Slugslime has had a bit of a nap and recovered his magical powers).
