AGM 22 and SBADS Committee / Future

We intend to hold an AGM sometime in the next 3 weeks and will advise of the date when we have settled on it as current committee members come back from summer holidays.  At the AGM we will present the accounts, reflect on the hiatus caused by the COVID restrictions and discuss the resurrection of SBADS.  We had a small part in the Jubilee celebration in the VH with the fashion show, but apart from that the last time we trod the boards will be over 3 years ago when next we do so
We will also be electing the new Committee.  Our longest-serving Chair and committee member, Nat Cook, will be standing down, as will our Treasurer, Alan Wilkes.  In addition, the Secretary, John Gower would rather let a new member take over from as Secretary after an extended spell on the Committee including time as Chair over the past few years.
Ideally therefore we would like to see 3 new committee members coming forward at the AGM and it would be particularly good if some younger members are able to consider a spell with our Committee.  We in order to vote know that the time we had Sarah on the committee was of great benefit.  At the very least, however, we will need 2 new committee members to offer themselves up.
We look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible to the AGM and while only paid up members may vote on the accounts and committee we want everyone with an interest in resurrecting SBADS and continuing our long tradition to participate in the discussion (and hopefully re-join at the AGM in order to vote!).
The outline plan with the Committee starts with a Pantomime early next year as a wonderful way to reconnect the Society with the broadest base of the community.
Looking forward to seeing you all past present and hopefully new members at the AGM.  We will post the date on here and social media as soon as it is known.
