As if by magic, Aladdin lands in the archive

SBADS’s 2024 panto ‘Aladdin’ has finished its highly successful run in South Brent, with four of its five performances sold out, and we have added photos to our archive.

Several hundred theatregoers laughed and cheered (and booed in all the right places!) at South Brent Village Hall from 25 to 28 January as Aladdin defeated the evil Abanazar and won the heart of Princess Mandarin with the help of his magic lamp. The show has been highly praised for its excellent cast of both SBADS regulars and newcomers to the village hall stage, impressive scenery and a most magical magic carpet ride around the world and beyond.

We warmly thank and heartily applaud all the talented actors, the creative team who conjured up the world of Aladdin, the back-stage crew, the wardrobe and make-up teams, our front-of-house volunteers, the lighting team who brought new effects to our stage and our talented pianist. Huge thanks and congratulations to Donna Wills, who took up the Director’s chair for the first time, and to Peter Brown as Producer.

Most of all we thank all those who came to see the panto and whose enjoyment made all the hard work worthwhile. We hope to see you at another SBADS production soon!

In the meantime, we have begun to add photos of Aladdin to our on-line archive. Visit www.sbadsarchive.co.uk/production/aladdin-2024/ to relive the panto – or find out what a treat you missed!
