SBADS presents a double bill of “Life Stories”.

Love Letters is a two-hander which traces the trajectory of a life-long love as Andy and Melissa’s deep connection is revealed in their exchange of letters over the years. A touching and humorous exploration of lives lived, chances taken, and opportunities missed.

Anybody Can Jump is a one man show about a boy from Paignton, his estranged father, and the legendary motorcycle daredevil Evel Knievel. This comedic drama about extremes of masculinity follows a life story of glorious failure and occasional glory.

Please note that seating is ‘cafe style’ with seats allocated on the night.

Bar from 7pm, plus tea, coffee and soft drinks in the interval.

Ticket sales

In common with most theatres, there is a small online booking fee. There’s no booking fee for tickets bought with cash/card direct from SBADS at our village box office in May 2023.

On-line

Tickets for ‘Life Stories’ are available on-line 24 hours a day. Tickets for this production will remain available on-line until two hours before each performance.

In person

As well as on-line sales, we are pleased to offer a pop-up box office for ‘Life Stories’ from 10th to 18th May, except Sunday, at the South Brent Old School Community Centre in Totnes Road, South Brent. We will be accepting payment by cash, and are working to overcome gremlims with our card reader that are currently preventing us from accepting cards.

Tickets may be purchased ‘on the door’ each night, if seats are available, for that night’s performance only.

Doors open

Doors open thirty minutes before each performance.

Refreshments

Tea, coffee and soft drinks available in the interval at every performance. Bar open from 7pm and during the interval.

Venue

The production is at South Brent Village Hall, which has been home to SBADS for nearly a century. The traditional village hall has an induction loop and full wheelchair access.

If you are coming by car, there is limited parking on the road outside the hall, and a free public car park the other side of the railway line. Please obey the road markings – particularly the ‘no loading’ restriction around the junction outside the hall – and please park courteously wherever you park in our village.
